Had a fantastic week end in mid September in Paris with one of my oldest friends. With just a camera on my back I experimented quite a lot with my speedlight. Lots of fun and many good pictures!

The Swedish Kata Trophy event at Eriksdalshallen in Stockholm is fantastic to follow from a near distance. Kids from all over Europe gather to compete in kata and represent their local clubs. Here Yorokobi Karate Club from Stockholm (style Wadoryu) winning several medals in both kata single as well as in team kata.

The very last day of the vacation we took a hike up to the woods overlooking the sea and enjoyed the warm winds coming from Africa and a beautiful sun set.

After a very rainy and dark winter we decided to spend a week end of February in Spain. Although not too hot this early of year the bright days and temperatures in the low twenties did us all very good. Here, a morning photo at the beach.

Alicante, Spain

After a very long and dark winter in Sweden I travelled with my family to Spain for Easter holidays. The light and longer days provided good photo opportunities and I had several days to test my new Canon 1 DX. It certainly did not disappoint me. A fantastic camera with fast and razor sharp focusing system. It was surprisingly easy to operate in spite of all new functions and buttons. Much easier than my Mark II. High tech and simplicity in one body, me like!
During the week I took a few thousand images and I was able to try most of the features including high speed AI servo during a dolphin show. Amazing results. Another feature I found particularly nice is the ability to shoot with auto ISO. Perfect when lighting conditions changes rapidly.
