City Studios, Stockholm

The other day I booked the studio to practice and take a few shots of Lina, a young multi talented girl from Stockholm. Not only does she on occasion work in the studio but she is also a 5 time Swedish Chess game champion. What an achievement!
We had a good hour and a half to practice in the studio before she had to rush off to the airport and a couple of months summer holidays in the US.

Carolina & David, Stockholm

We were expecting rain, lots of rain. Luckily the forecast changed the very last day and showed sun with perfect blue skies. And so it was! The wedding day for Carolina and David could not have been better and I was quite happy to cope with bright sun instead of pouring rain.
In the middle of the wedding shoot something totally unexpected happened. Suddenly, and from nowhere a beautiful Dalmatin came by and sat down besides the couple for a second or two. Luckily, I managed to get a shot before he ran off and that photo was one of my favorites of the day. Sometimes luck beats hard work!

Alicante, Spain

After a very long and dark winter in Sweden I travelled with my family to Spain for Easter holidays. The light and longer days provided good photo opportunities and I had several days to test my new Canon 1 DX. It certainly did not disappoint me. A fantastic camera with fast and razor sharp focusing system. It was surprisingly easy to operate in spite of all new functions and buttons. Much easier than my Mark II. High tech and simplicity in one body, me like!
During the week I took a few thousand images and I was able to try most of the features including high speed AI servo during a dolphin show. Amazing results. Another feature I found particularly nice is the ability to shoot with auto ISO. Perfect when lighting conditions changes rapidly.

Frida & Mattias, Stockholm

One winter's day in early January I had the privilege of documenting the very special day of Frida and Mattias. The wedding took place at the Oscar church in the very centre of Stockholm. In the morning we spent some time doing outdoor photo at Skeppsholmen. Close to the water and the ship af Chapman and with the Old Town and the royal castle in the background. It was a crisp and cold winter morning, a few degrees below zero so we had to work fast. The bride had to rush into a nearby car every now and then to warm herself but it all worked out fine and the results were just great.
Later in the afternoon and due to low light conditions in the church we had to rig a few spot lights in order to get proper photos but that also worked out fine and the ceremony was perfect. Lots and lots of live music and happy friends and families. This photo was takes right after the famous "kiss" and after they had giver their vows to each other.
