I got my first camera when I was 10 years old. It used to be my old man's camera, a Miniolta SR-T 101 and I just loved it. I began to explore the world through a viewfinder and I was fascinated by the fact that I could catch the moment in a single film frame every time I pressed the shutter release. Ever since that first day I´ve been hooked to photography and many cameras have passed through my hands over the years. But, it´s truly something special with that first camera. The Minolta will forever hold a very special place in my memory.
Some people are good at expressing themselves in writing, acting or something else. For me, I record the world around me in images. It just comes natural to me. I try to catch special moments. Moments that never repeat themselves. If you miss them, they're gone. Forever. And the light of the moment makes or breaks the image. Sometimes you await it for hours and it may never appear. It's a constant hunt for the perfect light and when you finally catch it, you instantly know.
I just love what I do. I do it because it gives me joy and great satisfaction. Even though I've been standing behind a camera for more than 25 years I'm in constant learning discovering new things and if people say they like what I do, I´m more than pleased. But, I do it for me. Because I love it. Welcome to my world of photography!
